Non-Judgmental
* I often think about how Jesus related to people. In John 2:24-25 the apostle says that Jesus knows our human nature. He knows exactly who we are and what our problems are. He knows that human beings have severe shortcomings. He also knows that we would never make it to eternal life with all the trashy baggage we carry around.
* And that is exactly why He came to this broken & confused world… He knew we could never get out of our mess without His help. Out of love for us He came! He did not come to judge or to tell us to go to hell. Listen to what Jesus Himself says: “God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:17.
* Honestly… if I was perfect, holy and without any fault like Jesus is… I have the impression I would not get myself dirty with the ugly and terrible things that go on in the life of people. Would you? But He came to us anyhow!
* Sometimes people with whom we share Jesus have the impression that God is like a totalitarian dictator who keeps an eye on us, always ready to pounce and punish us. In reality God deals with us in a complete different way… through His love.
* Does that mean that God likes it when our life is filthy, immoral & disobedient to His life-giving principles? No, He does not like it! Do you know why? Because that stuff SEPARATES US FROM HIM! When we live in that manner, we are actually rejecting Him, not the other way around. The amazing thing is that God loves us so much He wants us with back with Him forever… He blesses us, gives us all we need, but first of all He needs to reconnect us to Himself through Jesus. Jesus… He did not come to judge us… He came to save us, to take all the bad stuff in our life and pay for it when He died & to make our life whole. Jesus never looked down on people. He lifted them up instead. He was never judgmental – Believe me if anybody has the right to be judgmental it is Jesus… but He wasn’t. That is the attitude we want to have.
* As we start a new service this coming January 8, 2016, we want people to know that we are thankful for what Jesus did for us and that we are children of God and want EVERYBODY to also be a beloved child of God.
* We want all people to experience and environment that is caring, genuine… that doesn’t even have a hint of being judgmental.
* And because we want what God wants… all people close to Him with their lives restored, we will give them the best we have – JESUS – The only Jesus the Bible presents – loving, caring, saving… non-judgmental.
* God Himself doesn't propose to judge people until they are dead. So why should we? God bless us all and give us a loving, caring heart.
